- Translate and analyze technical information on foreign (Mandarin Chinese) electronic systems, subsystems, technologies, communications, algorithms, software, vulnerabilities, and countermeasure techniques. Specifically, a focus on embedded systems, wireless communication networks, software defined radios, or communications systems engineering.
- Text translation/transcription of language materials and quality control reviews of translations, transcriptions, or reports.
- Scanning, sorting, and/or categorizing foreign language materials.
- Recovering essential elements of information.
- Rendering translations and/or transcripts based on technical, complex, or sophisticated written material.
- Support the all-source analysis and production of comprehensive technical assessments that include independent research and technical writing.
- Support a team of engineers in determining reliability of technical all-source material including foreign equipment characteristics, foreign R&D and production capabilities.
- Utilize OSINT tools when required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as, but not limited to, linguistics.
- Must possess native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and a minimum of 3/3 on the DLPT or equivalent test.
- Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining focus on research objectives defined by the client.
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation.
- Ability to pass an advanced English test.
- Ability to score Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 or higher on target language translation test in Reading.
- Minimum 3+ years as a Linguist on DoD related programs and projects.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Comfortable with detailed analysis as well as systems of systems analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas.

$90,300-$189,600
