IT Project Manager, Systems Administrator
Overview
Managerial position overseeing workforce management products which currently include UKG Pro Workforce Management, QGenda, EZCall, and Kahuna. Jobs in this group are typically responsible for managing the university’s technology infrastructure and services. They handle system maintenance, support, and cybersecurity to ensure technology resources are reliable and secure.
These roles are responsible for managing and supporting the institution's integrated software systems (Enterprise Resource Planning, or "ERP") that handle core business functions such as finance, human resources, student information, and procurement. Responsibilities may involve system implementation and configuration, system maintenance and upgrades, user support and training, and data integration and reporting. Collaborates with functional ERP teams and other internal and external system users.
Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.
Manages/Supervises professional level employees within a Job Area. Focuses on tactical and operational plans and strategy with short to mid-term focus. Develops solutions to moderately complex problems, and may escalate more complex issues to higher level management. Ensures that staff is utilized efficiently and daily work projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities- Oversee technology infrastructure, services, and cybersecurity to ensure reliability and security.
- Manage and support the institution's integrated ERP systems (finance, HR, student information, procurement).
- Lead system implementation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, user support, and training; manage data integration and reporting; collaborate with ERP teams and internal/external system users.
- Represent people leaders with hire/fire authority; guide teams toward goals through direct and indirect reports.
- Supervise professional staff; develop and execute tactical and operational plans; create solutions for moderately complex problems; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Ensure efficient staff utilization and on-time, on-budget completion of daily work projects.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree required. - Experience:
5+ years of relevant professional experience, including 2+ years formal managerial experience required.
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The role may require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
CompensationThe starting base rate for this role is $ annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
