Position: IT Support - UVA School of Law (Student Wage)

The University of Virginia School of Law is seeking a highly motivated part‑time Service Desk Technician to work primarily in the evenings with the Law IT service desk. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others. This role involves supporting technology in classrooms, seminar rooms, and event spaces within the Law School, as well as assisting faculty, staff, students, and guests with computer and software related issues.

Clear documentation of issues and resolutions is required in a help desk ticketing system.

Shifts will be offered to help extend the Law IT service desk support hours from 4pm to 8pm, Monday‑Friday. Candidates must commit to a minimum of 12 hours per week and may work up to 20 hours per week, as limited by the UVA Student Wage Employment policy when classes are in session.

The employment period will span the 2026 Fall Semester and is eligible for renewal for the 2027 Spring Semester.

This position is restricted to enrolled UVA undergraduate students. Student workers may be exposed to class materials that could give an unfair advantage, which is why this role is limited to undergraduate non‑law‑school students.
