Responsible for evaluating and repairing electronic and pneumatic control systems in Albemarle County Schools, adhering to safety standards. This role is designated as "Essential Personnel," requiring reporting during emergencies, such as snow or weather-related incidents. May be on call 24/7 for emergencies.

• Install Energy Management Control Systems
• Evaluate and repair thermostats, control valves, sensors, and control systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on energy management and HVAC systems
• Diagnose issues and calibrate controllers, transmitters, and gauges
• Assist in purchasing parts and inspecting new HVAC installations
• Recommend energy conservation measures
• Other related duties as assigned

Thorough knowledge of energy management systems, control logic, and basic programming. Experience in electrical/pneumatic troubleshooting. Ability to follow instructions. High school or vocational education plus 3+ years in pneumatic controls and energy management interfacing. Valid Virginia driver’s license required; commercial license within 6 months of hire.

Physical tasks include walking, bending, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery. Contact with internal staff, external organizations, and the public. Work involves safety precautions and judgment in communication.

Performance based on ability to fulfill responsibilities effectively.
