Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project & Commercial Management
- Lead commercial management of projects from contract award through project closeout.
- Review, interpret, and administer owner contracts, subcontract agreements, and purchase orders.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support negotiations related to scope, pricing, schedule impacts, and contract terms.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, contractual, and financial risks.
Financial Management & Controls
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor job cost reports and proactively address cost trends or variances.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely progress billings.
- Manage project cost controls in accordance with company financial policies.
- Prepare and present project financial forecasts and status reports.
- Manage change orders, variations, and potential claims in accordance with contract terms.
- Evaluate change impacts related to cost, schedule, and scope.
- Support the preparation, negotiation, and resolution of change orders and claims to maximize recovery.
- Support pre-award and post-award estimating activities as assigned.
- Prepare or review ROM, budgetary, and detailed cost estimates for bids, proposals, and change orders.
- Validate labor, material, subcontractor pricing, assumptions, and risk contingencies.
- Participate in bid reviews and pricing strategy discussions to achieve target margins.
- Coordinate with Operations, Superintendents, Estimating, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance teams.
- Participate in project meetings, production meetings, and internal company meetings as required.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and auditable project documentation.
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with contract requirements, company policies, and applicable laws.
- Support company initiatives, procedures, and continuous improvement efforts.
