The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is a hands‑on mechanical technician who supports Manufacturing Engineers in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for both sustaining products and new product design transfers. This role is execution‑focused, bridging engineering intent with shop‑floor reality. The technician applies established methods, procedures, and work instructions to complete technical tasks, generate data, and support problem‑solving activities under the direction of Manufacturing Engineers.

This position requires strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to perform many of the same technical skills as a Manufacturing Engineer within a defined scope and under supervision.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline is a plus but not required
  • At least 1+ years of hands‑on mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or technical production roles is preferred
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices, aerospace, or automotive) is strongly preferred
  • Experience with CAD and/or Solid Works is a plus
  • Experience using Slicer software and 3D printers is a plus
  • Cleanroom experience is a plus
  • Soldering experience is strongly preferred
  • Troubleshooting experience is required
  • Experience using hand tools is required; experience using torque tools is preferred
  • Experience with CNC lathes, CNC mills, or CNC programming is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a positive attitude are required
