We are looking for you to join our team as General Manufacturing Manager 1 to support production and manufacturing operations at our Central Virginia manufacturing facilities. The role includes organizational responsibility for test technicians and focuses on meeting or exceeding customer requirements by delivering quality products on time and within program cost targets while promoting a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership direction in areas such as Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity Planning, Capital & Facility Planning, Cost/Benefit Analysis, Manpower Planning, Staffing, ISO
    9001 and all auditable processes.
  • Provide direction to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies.
  • Drive employee efficiency.
  • Meet product cost and schedule targets.
  • Manage department budget.
  • Manage the area to produce quality products.
  • Attract, retain and develop talent and execute a cohesive strategy to create an inclusive culture and build an engaged workforce.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment; will also consider a minimum of 9 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • At least one year of experience managing or leading people or projects.
  • Experience in MS Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level Security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Secret clearance.
  • Experience as an electrical or test engineer.
  • Experience managing manufacturing assembly and test.
  • Experience with SAP or other Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system for business.
  • Prior program, project and/or people management, cross-organizational, process improvement experience.
  • Lean or Green Belt certified.
