The Fabricator is responsible for crafting and assembling custom orthotics based on detailed specifications and designs. This role involves attention to detail and willingness & ability to learn quickly. The Fabricator ensures the final product meets quality standards and is completed within established timelines.

Fabricator Required Education,

Skills and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in orthotics or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in fabrication or assembly work, preferably in orthotics or a related field.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Knowledge of materials used in orthotics fabrication, including plastics, foams, and resins.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Fabricator Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
  • Fabricate and assemble custom orthotics according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Cut, shape, and mold materials using sandbelt grinders, bandsaw blades, scissors & glue
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Corrector and other team members to resolve production issues.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and equipment as needed.
  • Document production processes and update records as required.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in inventory management, including monitoring material levels and reporting shortages.
  • Support other lab functions as needed to ensure production deadlines are met
