Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a VA or compact license, BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring, and AWHONN intermediate certification.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
- Rotating day and night shifts with 3x12 hour schedules (7:00-19:00 and 19:00-7:00)
- Expected to cross-train to Mother/Baby unit as needed
- Unit has 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms
- Handles both low risk (including certified nurse midwife population) and high risk maternal fetal medicine cases
- Average of 2000 deliveries annually
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Cross-training to the Mother/Baby unit may be required during assignment
- Candidates should notify if there are any known background issues
- No radius requirement applies for this position
- Candidates may take up to 40 hours of time off during a 13-week contract
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Holiday coverage is required every other holiday
- Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring, and AWHONN intermediate
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- 12 months must pass before returning as a traveler
