Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position specializing in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patient care, with Epic EMR experience required.
Responsibilities- 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU (TCV ICU) in a large academic medical center
- Patient population includes those undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacement/repair, heart transplantation, and lung transplantation
- Night shift, 7p–7a (3x12-hour shifts)
- Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Floating required per facility float policy
- Epic EMR experience required
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler
- No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
- Active VA or Compact RN license required; VA license pending will be accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CVICU or cardiovascular/thoracic surgical ICU nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
