Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position with night shifts and Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU setting

• Care for patients undergoing CABG, valve replacement/repair, heart and lung transplant surgeries

• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)

• Schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday

• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

• Assignment length is 13 weeks

• Requires floating in accordance with unit policy

• Epic EMR experience is required

• Responsibilities include caring for complex cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical patients

• Up to 40 hours of time off permitted during the 13-week contract

• Floating may be required based on clinical experience

• No radius rule applies for eligibility

• Must wait 12 months to return as a traveler if previously employed at this location

• Every other holiday coverage is required

• Candidates should communicate any planned time off between signing and start

• No restrictions on local candidates

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license; will consider VA license pending

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Prior Cardiovascular ICU nursing experience strongly preferred

• Documented Epic EMR experience required

• Two professional references required for consideration
