Role Overview
These roles involve patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. They may work across various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, long‑term care facilities, and community health organizations, supporting patients and their families, and ensuring the effective functioning of healthcare teams. Registered Nurse certification is required.
These roles are responsible for guiding patients through the healthcare system, helping them understand their treatment plans, and coordinating care across multiple providers. Care navigators ensure patients receive timely care and have access to resources that support their treatment journey.
Clinical ResponsibilitiesIndividual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients and may include face‑to‑face interactions. May also spend time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills.
Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and vocational or technical education. Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of a routine nature but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. - Experience:
1 year of registered nursing experience required; 3 years of relevant recorded nursing experience strongly preferred. - Specialty Board Certification strongly preferred.
- License/Certification:
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 20–50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
CompensationThe starting base rate for this role is $85,820.80 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
