• Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in general ICU.
• If floated to IMCU, must manage patient to nurse ratios of 1:4-6 efficiently and safely.
• Experience with vasopressors such as levophed, phenylephrine, vasopressin, dopamine, and sedation medications like fentanyl, propofol, and precedex. Also insulin drips common.
• Experience with TNK, strokes, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, CRRT, general surgeries, DKA, SI, ETOH, and STEMIs.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing competent nursing care using the nursing process. Core responsibilities include assessment, diagnostic planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation, while adhering to professional practice standards such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and resource utilization.

• RN Degree – ADN, BSN or MSN

• Valid RN license to practice in Virginia.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications.
