Cross posting for clinical review and auto offer. The position requires experience in cardiac medicine ICU. Strong familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheters and vasoactive drips is essential. Experience in managing arterial lines, advanced heart failure, and post-procedural care such as STEMIs and TAVRs is necessary. Work schedule consists of night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required. Time off around holidays is not approved.
Must adhere to floating policies within scope of practice. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Candidates should possess skills in accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and assisting with chest tube insertion and removal. Other necessary skills include blood product administration and care of ventilated patients. Experience with central line management, central venous pressure monitoring, and interpretation of arterial blood gases is needed.
Candidates must be able to manage patients with chronic or acute renal failure. A solid understanding of dysrhythmias and advanced cardiac life support is required. Knowledgeable in managing pulmonary conditions such as pulmonary edema and pulmonary embolism. Experience with ventilator management, starting and maintaining IVs, and procedural sedation administration is essential. Familiarity with advanced procedures including CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and therapeutic hypothermia will be beneficial.
Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 8 patients. The unit consists of 10 beds and provides interdisciplinary support services. Special procedures and treatment protocols are established for post-cardiac intervention patients. Team collaboration with various medical support services is key to the role. References required upon request. Nursys verification is required for submission. BSN preferred.
