Registered Nurse; RN IMCU- Part Time

Overview

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring an RN for a part‑time day shift on our IMCU in Charlottesville, VA. The unit is a 30‑bed Intermediate Care Unit (Telemetry/Stroke Unit) providing care for cardiac and neurological patients.

The RN is responsible to perform competent nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the 1:5 patient‑to‑RN ratio, collaborating with patient care technicians, educators, and leadership team, and participating in transition‑to‑practice programs.

• Registered Nurse with valid RN license.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
• NIH certification within 1 year of hire.
• BSN or MSN preferred; students in accredited nursing program may apply.
• Experience in acute care nursing, stroke or telemetry preferred (none required).
