- Conduct thorough patient assessments and design personalized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and monitor patient responses.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post‑discharge care.
- Monitor vital signs, observe changes in patient condition, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions.
- Use clinical judgment to address complex health situations and consult with the medical team when necessary.
- Document all care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and evidence‑based protocols.
- Advocate for each patient’s comfort, dignity, and well‑being while fostering trust and security.
- Participate in continuous learning and adapt to evolving healthcare practices.
- Registered Nursing diploma (Required).
- Registered Nurse License (Required).
- Minimum 18 months of nursing experience.
- Must reside within 75 miles and 90 minutes of one of the following hospitals:
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (Woodbridge, VA), Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital (Harrisonburg, VA), or Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital (Charlottesville, VA). - All Direct Care RNs must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
