Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Part Time Registered Nurse for the LDRP. This is a night shift position 24 hours per week with required call. Preferred applicants will have experience specifically in Post Partum and Mother Baby. This roll will cross train to the Specialty Care Nursery.
HoursTwo 12-hour shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation on Saturday and Sunday. The required call is 16-24 hours per 6-week schedule.
Sign on bonus up to $10,000 available for qualified candidates. LDRPSentara Martha Jeffersons Women’s Health includes L&D, and a 24 bed post‑partum mother/baby. Our Level 2 newborn specialty care nursery has a 1 to 1 ratio while our intermediate care babies have a 1 to 3 nursing ratio. Our LDRP unit also offers post operative care for complex GYN and Breast surgical needs. This specialty area has a 100-member team cross trained to offer best in class healthcare to Charlottesville, VA, and surrounding areas.

- Our RN retention rate is 98%

- Degree or diploma in Registered Nursing
- BSN or MSN Preferred
- Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire.
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Registered nursing license required
- EFM
- Electronic Fetal monitoring preferred - Certified Obstetrics Nursing preferred
- 2 years of acute care registered nurse experience preferred
- Labor and Delivery specific Experience preferred
- Strong understanding of patient safety protocols.
- Manages complex cases in fast‑paced environments
- Communication with patients and providers
- Must want to work night shift
