This part-time RN position within Pediatric Primary and Specialty Care at Riverside provides a dynamic blend of primary care and rotating specialty services. The RoleThis is a highly adaptable ambulatory nursing role where you will practice across both primary care and specialty services in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will care for pediatric patients ranging from newborns through 18 years old, supporting both routine and complex clinical needs while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide direct patient care during well visits, sick visits, and follow-up appointments
- Administer vaccines and medications
, and support chronic condition management - Perform telephone triage
, guiding families through clinical concerns and next steps - Assist with specialty services including allergy testing, food challenges, pulmonary support, endocrinology, and more
- Work within a same-day clinic model managing a wide range of illnesses and injuries
- Adapt to fluctuating patient volumes
, balancing high-volume care with dedicated time for training, in‑services, and team collaboration - Contribute to a team-oriented environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience:
1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure:
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $37.51 - $49.82 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
