The Role:
As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will practice in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment where adaptability, clinical judgment, and teamwork are essential. You will partner closely with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for mothers and newborns.
What you can expect in your day-to-day practice:
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Perform continuous maternal and fetal assessments, recognizing and responding to changes in clinical status
- Collaborate with providers and care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support patients and families through education, emotional support, and advocacy during the childbirth experience
- Participate in high-acuity cases, including emergent deliveries and complex obstetric scenarios
- Utilize advanced clinical technology and evidence-based protocols to ensure optimal outcomes
- Precept and mentor newer nurses while contributing to a strong team culture grounded in professionalism and shared accountability

Minimal Requirements- Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required within 5 years of hire - Experience:
1 year of relevant experience - Licensure:
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia; BLS certification required
Physical Demands:
Standing for prolonged periods, travel, bending/stooping; ability to lift/push/pull 20-50lbs
Pay:
The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by qualifications, experience, and education.
