American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I or II trauma center experience and a VA or compact RN license.

• Level I and Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Patient population includes pediatric cases
• 13-week contract assignment
• Mid shift schedule (11:00-23:00), 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma center experience or 2 years of Level II trauma center experience required
• Some pediatric experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Triage skills preferred

• Provide emergency department nursing care within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center environment
• Time off requests limited to a maximum of 40 hours per 13-week contract, and must be disclosed at time of consideration
• No time off approved around Labor Day
• Any vacation time planned between offer acceptance and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
• Candidates previously employed by the facility as permanent staff or as internal/external travelers must disclose this for review
• Previous permanent staff or internal travelers require a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
• External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
