Description:
The Pediatric Peri Anesthesia Unit is a pediatric preoperative and postoperative unit. It provides specialized postoperative care for pediatric patients requiring overnight observation or extended recovery. The unit is designed to deliver comprehensive, family-centered care from preoperative preparation through postoperative recovery. Nurses collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgery, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized care. Ongoing assessments, pain management, and discharge planning are key components of care.
Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills are essential for recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition. The team is committed to delivering exceptional care while creating a safe and supportive experience for every child and family.
