The Pediatric Peri Anesthesia Unit is a specialized unit for pediatric preoperative and postoperative care. The unit includes a pediatric surgical observation area providing extended recovery care. Night shifts require working every other weekend. Nurses must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. Candidates with pending licenses may be considered. Required certifications must be provided role involves collaboration with anesthesia, surgery, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills are essential for recognizing and responding to changes in patient conditions. The unit emphasizes family-centered care and provides comprehensive support through preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery. Nurses are responsible for managing pain, conducting assessments, and facilitating discharge planning. Exceptional care delivery is a priority, aiming to create a compassionate experience for patients and families.
Experience in trauma care at a Level I is necessary. Candidates should have expertise in monitoring and managing various pediatric surgical procedures.
