Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse
Seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse for a float pool position. This role involves providing specialized care across various pediatric units, including NICU, PICU, peds med-surg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother baby. The ideal candidate will possess NICU and PICU experience with a flexible, adaptable approach to pediatric patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care to pediatric patients in NICU, PICU, and other pediatric units.
- Float across multiple units ensuring compliance with department policies and protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform clinical assessments with precision.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards, including BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid state nursing license with pending licenses accepted.
- Possess at least 2 years of PICU experience and NICU float pool background.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
- Be certified in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS;
Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification preferred. - Have NICU and PICU experience with a strong pediatric acute care background.
- Show excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
