Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. Monitor fetal and maternal well-being, administer medications, and support patients throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal conditions during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress and vital signs accurately in electronic medical records.
• Prepare and assist with delivery procedures, ensuring sterile techniques.
• Provide postpartum care and patient education on postpartum recovery and newborn care.

Qualifications:

• Valid state Registered Nurse license required; pending licenses accepted, must have license in-hand in time for start date.
• BSN degree preferred;
  Nursys verification required.
• Minimum of previous Labor and Delivery experience.
• Certification in BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring required; AWHONN intermediate preferred.
• Ability to float within scope of practice and adapt to different units if needed.
• Epic charting experience required unless otherwise specified.
