Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered maternity services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess maternal and fetal health status throughout labor and delivery.
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, utilizing fetal monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, adhering to hospital protocols.
• Assist with childbirth procedures, including delivery and postpartum care.
• Cross-train in Mother/Baby units and float to NICU as necessary.
• Document all clinical assessments and procedures accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Valid state license as a Registered Nurse with pending licenses accepted, must be licensed in-hand by start date.
• BSN degree preferred; applicable certifications such as BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Demonstrated competency in fetal monitoring and maternal care.
• Ability to float within scope of practice and adapt to different units.
• Epic charting experience highly preferred.
