** The Role*
* As a Registered Nurse within UVA Health's Women's and Children's Units, you will provide evidence-based care to patients across a variety of clinical settings. This role combines advanced clinical practice, patient advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and compassionate support for patients and families during some of life's most critical moments.

Working within a fast-paced academic medical center, you will:

+ Deliver comprehensive nursing care to women, infants, children, and adolescent patients with a wide range of healthcare needs.

+ Assess patient conditions, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes throughout hospitalization.

+ Partner closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, care coordinators, and support staff.

+ Support family-centered care by engaging patients and loved ones throughout the treatment journey.

+ Educate patients and familiesregardingdiagnoses, treatment plans, medications, discharge planning, and ongoing care needs.

+ Utilize critical thinking and sound clinical judgment when caring for medically complex patients.

+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, shared governance, and professional development opportunities.

+ Contribute to a culture focused on safety, teamwork, innovation, and exceptional patient experiences.
