Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to support pediatric patients across various units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED, and postpartum/mother-baby. This float pool position requires flexibility, clinical expertise in pediatric critical care, and the ability to adapt to different pediatric environments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care within PICU, NICU, and other pediatric units, including post-surgical and emergency care.
- Float across multiple units, adhering to scope of practice and facility policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans.
- Monitor patient conditions, assess needs, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records, including Epic.
- Ensure compliance with certifications such as BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS throughout the assignment.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid and active RN license, with pending VA license accepted if in hand by start date.
- Possess minimum 2 years of PICU experience, with NICU and pediatric float pool experience preferred.
- Demonstrate previous PICU and NICU clinical expertise.
- Be certified in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS, with copies of certifications required at submission.
- Have strong knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols and procedures.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
