Travel RN - Emergency Dept

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC may be pending but required before start)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level II trauma facility experience
• Some pediatric experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Two professional references required

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 4x12 hours, 11:00-23:00 (mids)
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Every other holiday required
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide emergency department nursing care including triage of incoming patients
• Maximum 40 hours of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract, all RTO must be disclosed prior to offer acceptance
• No additional RTO approved after offer acceptance
• Unable to approve time off around Labor Day
• Any vacation planned between sign date and start date must be disclosed to allow for an appropriate start date
• Specialty-specific training modules completed during orientation
• Previous permanent staff or internal travelers must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this health system
• Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
