Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

$1958.40/week –

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced RN to provide specialized care in the Labor and Delivery unit. This role involves clinical review, patient monitoring, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure positive maternal and fetal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and perform clinical assessments of obstetric patients in labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, and maternal vital signs according to protocol.
• Administer medications, including fetal monitoring agents, under physician orders.
• Cross-train in Mother/Baby and float to NICU, ensuring flexibility in coverage.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, assessments, and interventions.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including certification and license verifications.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license, with VA license pending (acceptable if in progress).
• Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications; AWHONN intermediate preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of obstetric nursing experience in a labor and delivery setting.
• Ability to work night shifts (19:00–7:00) with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Strong clinical skills in maternal-fetal medicine, high-risk and low-risk obstetrics.
