Registered Nurse – PICU

$2203.20/week –

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN for a float pool position. The role involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients across various units, including PICU, NICU, peds Med Surg, peds PACU, peds ED, and postpartum/mother-baby.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in multiple units based on float assignments.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including UVAs float policy and unit-specific protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and ensure compliance with all licensing and certification requirements.
• Assist in clinical review processes and participate in orientation modules as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with pending licenses accepted, must be in hand by Wednesday before start date.
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience.
• PICU and NICU experience required, with comfort in pediatric critical care.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS.
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification or pending submission.
• Epic experience required.
• Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
