American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III/IV NICU position requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and a VA or compact RN license.

• Work in the NICU (Level III/IV) of a hospital environment at a teaching hospital
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Uses Epic charting system
• Required to work 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required, pending license accepted if in-hand by the Wednesday before start date
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP required in-hand at time of consideration
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required, may be pending at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Level III NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Experience required with neurologic care, lumbar puncture assistance, therapeutic hypothermia, IV therapy, central/implanted line care, UAC/UVC management, colostomy/ileostomy care, post-abdominal surgery care, dysrhythmia interpretation, high frequency ventilation, chest tube management, nitric oxide therapy, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, IV vasopressors, and neonatal dosage calculations
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care to critically ill infants requiring advanced respiratory and cardiovascular support
• Time off requests limited to a maximum of 40 hours per 13-week contract, with all requested time off disclosed at time of consideration
• Time off cannot be approved for the first two weeks of the assignment or over Labor Day weekend
• Any vacation time planned between sign date and start date must be disclosed to allow for an appropriate start date
• Candidates previously employed by the facility as permanent staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before returning
• External travelers are subject to a 365 total assignment day limit and are not eligible to return once this limit is reached
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
