specialized inpatient oncology unit,where nurses are trusted, supported, and empowered to provide evidence-based care in a collaborative, team-first environment.
As a Registered Nurse on3 South Acute Oncology
, you will deliver comprehensive care to a diverse population of patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumor cancers in a
28-bed inpatient unit
focused on complex, specialty care.
In this dynamic environment, you will build deep clinical expertise while caring for patients with both oncology and medical-surgical needs. This role offers a strong blend of technical skill development, critical thinking, and compassionate patient interaction.
What your day-to-day looks like:Deliver
direct patient care
for individuals with complex oncology diagnoses and co-morbiditiesAdminister and monitor
advanced infusions
, including chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapiesCollaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized care plans
Provide ongoing
symptom management and patient education
to support patients and families throughout treatmentEngage in a highly interactive team environment that values
communication, feedback, and continuous improvementTake on increasing ownership of patient care while building leadership skills within the unit

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience:
1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure:
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
