Registered Nurse – PICU

$2203.20/week -

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN to provide specialized care across various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, peds med-surg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby. The ideal candidate will have extensive PICU and NICU experience, with the ability to adapt to different clinical settings within the pediatric float pool.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and execute age-appropriate interventions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including float and travel policies, to ensure compliance and safety.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and other electronic health records.
• Maintain necessary certifications and licenses, including BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Virginia nursing license or pending license in hand before start date.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years PICU experience and PICU/NICU float pool experience.
• Certified in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS from accredited providers.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic medical records.
• Be able to work 36 or 48-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
• Have recent experience with pediatric patient care in a hospital setting.
