Registered Nurse – PICU

$2203.20/week -

Job Summary:

This is a Pediatrics Float Pool RN position involving float assignments across various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby. The role requires adaptability and experience in pediatric critical care settings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units as assigned.
• Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and implement treatments in accordance with unit protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress, and communicate effectively with families and staff.
• Adhere to agency policies, safety regulations, and applicable certifications in all duties.
• Maintain flexibility with floating to different pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, and PACU.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with pending licenses accepted (must be in hand before start date).
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of PICU experience.
• Possess recent PACU, PICU, and NICU clinical experience, comfortable working with pediatric patients.
• Require BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Must have Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification or be able to obtain it.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
