UVA Health Nurse Position
UVA Health is a nationally recognized academic health system where nurses are integral to advancing patient care research and innovation. Central is a 28-bed Acute Care unit that provides specialized pre- and post-operative care to adult patients undergoing general colorectal gynecological and urologic surgical procedures as well as care for trauma patients. Nurse staffing ratios are 1:4 with free-floating charge. This job description integrates the ANA Nursing:
Scope and Standards of Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements and the UVA Nursing Professional Practice Model.

- Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. - Experience:
1 year of relevant experience. - Licensure:
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods frequently traveling bending/stooping. Proficient communicative auditory and visual skills Attention to detail and ability to write legibly Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is 39.90 - 53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications previous work experience and/or education.
