American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring a VA or compact RN license and Epic experience.

• 27-bed general medicine unit
• Patient population includes respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious disease, and renal conditions
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• 36 or 48 hour scheduling options available
• 13-week assignment length
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Required to float within scope of practice per facility float policy
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if in-hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur Evac) required
• Tracheostomy care/management experience preferred
• Experience with Heparin protocols and PCA required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions/PPE knowledge required
• Wound care/wound vac experience required
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips required
• Experience managing renal failure patients preferred

• Maximum of 40 hours RTO permitted per 13-week contract
• Time off requests around Labor Day will not be approved
• Up to 16 non-billable hours of specialty-specific orientation modules required, recorded in Workday
• Candidates with previous permanent or internal traveler experience at this facility require a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• No radius rule applies for this unit
