American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring Level I or II trauma center experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
- Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekends required with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs
- Every other holiday required
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Uses Epic EMR
- Floating required within scope of practice as needed
- Active VA or compact RN license (pending accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
- TNCC required (pending accepted but must be obtained before start)
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience required
- Some pediatric experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
- Provide emergency department nursing care including patient triage
- Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
- Time off requests will not be approved around Labor Day
- Any vacation time planned between offer acceptance and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
- Facility policy requires 1-year separation and leadership approval for previous permanent staff or internal travelers
- External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this limit is reached
- Specialty-specific orientation modules required, completed during orientation and recorded in Workday
