This is an exciting opportunity for experienced OR nurses seeking exposure to a broad range of surgical services in a high-volume ambulatory setting. As an Operating Room RN in UVA Health's Outpatient Surgery Center, you will provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment that performs approximately 50-60 cases each day
. Located in the Battle Building directly across from UVA Medical Center, this 12-operating-room facility provides exceptional exposure to a diverse surgical population while maintaining the efficiency and patient-centered focus of an outpatient setting.

We are looking for nurses with experience in one or more of the following specialty areas:

• General Surgery
• Gynecology (GYN)
• Urology
• Plastic Surgery
• ENT
• Orthopedics
• Robotic Surgery

In this role, you will:

• Function in both scrub and circulating nurse roles across perioperative services.
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support a high-volume ambulatory surgery program across multiple specialty service lines.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities designed to expand your clinical expertise and versatility.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, efficiency, patient safety, and clinical excellence.

This position offers a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and outstanding work-life balance:

• No nights
• No call
• No weekends
• No holidays
