Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to critically ill neonates. Deliver compassionate, evidence-based interventions to promote optimal outcomes for newborn patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor neonatal patients' condition, vital signs, and response to treatments.
- Administer medications, look after IVs, and perform necessary procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate families on neonatal care, discharge instructions, and ongoing health needs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices.
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with current clinical experience in NICU or neonatal settings.
- BLS certification required; NRP certification must be in hand at time of submission.
- Demonstrate proficiency in neonatal clinical assessments and interventions.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity environment and manage multiple priorities.
- BSN degree preferred.
