Registered Nurse NICU

Job Summary:

Provide specialized neonatal nursing care in a NICU setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate support. Responsible for delivering high-quality care to critically ill newborns and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonatal patients’ conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, equipment, and response to interventions continuously.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to provide coordinated care.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active, in-hand Nursing license and meet all state-specific requirements.
• Possess a BSN degree or higher (preferred).
• Complete required certifications including BLS, NRP, and Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification.
• Have recent NICU nursing experience and demonstrated clinical competence.
• Be able to work night shifts (4x12-hour nights) and adhere to facility policies.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
