Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for IMC/PCU/Stepdown units. This role involves providing patient care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to clinical standards, and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to clinical changes promptly.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications:

• Current state RN license or pending license accepted with in-hand verification before start date.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Epic EHR experience is mandatory.
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed.
• Must comply with UVA float policy and travel regulations.
