Registered Nurse
Float pool position requiring flexibility to work in various medical-surgical and telemetry units. Nurses will float across all acute care nursing areas according to staffing needs. Areas include Geriatric/Palliative Care, Orthopedics & Trauma, Medicine, Surgical, Client, Epilepsy & Stroke, Acute Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Hematology/Oncology, Solid Organ Transplant, Thoracic Cardiovascular, Digestive Health, Acute Care for Special Pathogens, and patients boarding in the Emergency Department.
Critical care and intermediate care units are not included. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required. Nurses must adhere to float policies and should be prepared to work with different patient populations. RTO must be clearly indicated upon submission; no additional time off will be approved after offer acceptance. Pending licenses are accepted, provided they are obtained by the required date.
All necessary certifications must be submitted with the application. Candidates must have experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and telemetry. Previous charge experience is preferred. Float requirements are in place; flexibility within scope of practice is necessary. Nurses should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and must have strong clinical skills.
Education:
BSN preferred.
