Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide expert care during high- and low-risk deliveries. The role offers flexible scheduling, cross-training opportunities, and the chance to work in a dynamic, private facility environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough clinical review and conduct assessments of obstetric patients.
• Deliver safe and effective nursing care for both maternal and fetal needs during labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including certified nurse midwives, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Cross-train into Mother/Baby units and support float responsibilities to NICU as needed.
• Maintain compliance with certifications, licenses, and hospital policies throughout assignments.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license; pending licenses accepted with verification before start date.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience in a high-volume setting.
• BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in maternal-fetal assessment, fetal monitoring, and emergency response.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet holiday staffing requirements.
• Successfully verify background, references, and Nursys data prior to assignment.
