Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Charlottesville, VA

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver age-appropriate, high-acuity nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations
• Adapt clinical practice to the needs of varied units within the pediatric float pool scope
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and float within scope of practice as directed
• Accurately document patient care and clinical assessments using Epic EMR

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic EMR experience required

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
