Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Seeking a registered nurse for a General Medicine unit specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The role involves providing patient-centered nursing care, monitoring diverse disease processes, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for adult patients with respiratory, endocrine, cardiac, immune/infectious, and renal conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies following prescribed protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs, responses to treatment, and changes in condition, reporting significant findings promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patients to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Adhere to clinical policies, including both facility and industry standards, while floating within scope of practice.
• Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse license, with VA license pending acceptable.
• Epic platform experience required.
• BLS certification, ACLS preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a med-surg or telemetry setting.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, with availability for longer assignments through 01/02/2027.
• Must comply with travel and staffing policies, including floating and holiday coverage requirements.
