Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide expert nursing care on a 27-bed General Medicine unit, managing a variety of disease processes across multiple systems. The role involves patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician directives.
• Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses in electronic health records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including float and travel policies, to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Virginia RN license (pending licenses accepted, must be in hand by start date).
• Demonstrate experience with Epic electronic medical records.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred but not required).
• Have at least one year of recent clinical experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Ability to work night shifts (4x12 hours) and participate in holiday rotations.
• Successful completion of required background checks and verification.
