Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Charlottesville, Virginia, 22903!

Registered Nurse – PACU (Pediatric)

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00-07:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care to pediatric patients in a 10-bed Pediatric Peri Anesthesia Unit
• Deliver specialized postoperative care within a 4-bed Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU) for patients requiring overnight or extended recovery up to 23 hours
• Monitor and assess pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions through the perioperative continuum
• Float within scope of practice to support unit needs as required

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (license must be in hand prior to start date)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not accepted for this unit)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in a pediatric PACU or perioperative setting strongly preferred

• Longer assignment availability through early 2027 offers extended stability for travel nurses seeking a consistent placement
• Up to 40 hours of approved time off available within the contract period
