Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part-Time

UVA Imaging is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient imaging team in Charlottesville, VA.

Schedule:

Part-Time | 3 Days per Week

Monday: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Wednesday: 6:15 AM – 2:45 PM

Saturday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM

As an LPN, you will help prepare and support patients throughout their imaging procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing patients for imaging procedures
• Conducting patient and MRI safety screenings
• Obtaining and reviewing patient medical histories
• Starting IVs and establishing IV access
• Assisting with patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures
• Communicating with patients and members of the clinical team
• Helping ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive patient experience

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience in a clinical setting.

Education:

Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

Licensure & Certification:
Current LPN license meeting the requirements of the state in which you practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under the direction of an RN or licensed independent practitioner. Ability to assist with medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner. Strong attention to detail with the ability to document patient information accurately and concisely. Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills. Basic proficiency with computer applications and healthcare information systems.

Ability to accurately enter, access, and retrieve patient and clinical information electronically.
