Supporting a pediatric float pool across multiple inpatient and emergency care areas, this travel nurse job offers the opportunity to work with high-acuity infants, children, and adolescents while gaining experience in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Position: Pediatric RN – Travel Float Pool
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric float pool supporting multiple inpatient, critical care, and emergency care areas
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating: Required to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D and Mother/Baby
• Charting System: Epic
• License: Virginia RN license may be pending at submission and must be active by the required deadline before start

• 2 years of PICU experience required
• Strong NICU experience required; comfort with acute pediatrics and Pediatric ED patients is essential
• Previous pediatric float pool experience is a plus
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required or may be submitted pending per assignment guidelines
• Epic experience required
• Ability to care for neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients across a variety of acuity levels
• BSN preferred

• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Support high-acuity care including ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication administration
• Provide care for patients in PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, and Acute Pediatrics as assigned
  
  Assist with interdisciplinary care planning and family-centered communication
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit-specific protocols
• Adapt quickly to changing patient assignments and float expectations while maintaining excellent clinical standards

• Work in a respected pediatric healthcare environment in Charlottesville, Virginia
