American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I/II Trauma Center, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

• 13-week contract in the Emergency Department
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs
• Every other holiday required with no time off approved around Labor Day
• Floating required within scope of practice as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active VA or compact RN license (pending license accepted, must be in hand by the Wednesday before start)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start)
• 2 years of ER experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience, including some pediatric experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred

• Provide emergency and trauma care within a Level I and Level II Trauma Center setting
• Perform patient triage as part of core responsibilities
• Maximum 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract, must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Any vacation time between offer acceptance and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date
• Former UVA permanent staff or internal/external travelers must disclose prior employment; a 1-year separation and leadership approval is required for rehire
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return after reaching this limit
• No radius restriction applies to this unit
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
